Somehow i doubt that this basic function is included in with cubase7. Here you can upgrade to the latest version for a special price. In cubase 4 you can only edit a stereo sample as a whole, applying the same process to both sides. In sound forge you can select one side of the sample and apply a process to it, leaving the other side untouched. A stereo editor is simply more efficient for the job at hand. Especially if editing things like sound effects of voice overs, mastering completed tracks, etc. ![]() Its a matter of being the right tool for the job. don't know if fixed in 7?) is stereo editing.
